experience using Sensitel's "Smart Vials", and SENS Clinical mobile phone technology and
tracking software to minimize biologic sample errors in clinical trials.
"Clinical trials involving acquisition and processing of additional biochemical or tissue samples
are frequently prone to human error. Several sources of error routinely result from human and
environmental factors, such as mis-labeling, poor handwriting, effacing of the notations, etc.
Correctly associating patient and site information with the clinical sample and capturing time
and location during sample collection is therefore a critical requirement for effective clinical
trial execution" said Dr. Makin.
